Privacy policy

In short: photos you use with our tools are analysed on your own device and are never uploaded to us or stored. You don't need an account, and we don't set cookies.

This policy covers the website ratemaxai.com ("the website"), run by RateMax AI ("we", "us"). The RateMax mobile app on Google Play has its own privacy policy, shown on its Google Play listing.

1. Photos and face analysis

The face shape detector, face symmetry test and golden ratio face test use Google MediaPipe (Face Landmarker), which runs entirely inside your browser. The model files are served from our own website.
Your photo or camera image is processed locally on your device. It is never uploaded to our servers or to any third party.
We do not store your photo or the results. When you close or reload the page, they are gone.
If you use your camera, access is requested by your browser and used only while the tool is open. You can revoke it at any time in your browser settings.

2. Accounts

The website has no accounts, logins or forms. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.

3. Cookies and local storage

We do not set any cookies.
If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's localStorage under the key theme. It never leaves your device and you can clear it in your browser settings.

4. Third-party services

Firebase Hosting (by Google) hosts the website and delivers it through Google's network (CDN). Like any web host, it processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See the Firebase privacy information.
Google Fonts: our font (Plus Jakarta Sans) is loaded from Google's servers, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when it downloads the font. See the Google privacy policy.
Analytics: we don't currently use any analytics on the website. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy first.
Google Play: links to the RateMax app take you to Google Play, which is run by Google under its own privacy policy. These links include a referral tag (for example utm_source=web) so we can see how many installs came from the website. They do not identify you.

5. Children

The website is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

6. Your rights

Because we don't collect personal data through the website, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For data handled by Google, please see the policies above. You can still contact us with any question.

7. Changes

If we change how the website handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
